Alison McDowell takes out reactionary trash
I’m well aware that few people will have any interest in coming over to Wordpress so I’m putting this here too. It’s important.
"I just don't think that if you have an eco-village you necessarily need a gamified content creation platform."
Turns out Alison McDowell is my kind of take-no-prisoners critic and bullshit detector. Here she is, challenging Derrick Broze over his support for child labour as well as addressing some key assumptions that are being made about blockchain. And much more.
Here’s her blog post on the matter:
As much as people like to say that left-right is over, that we live in a post-political world now, you see the contours of the ideological divide continually resurfacing in discussions such as this.
In a world full of partial truthers and mealy-mouthed cowards, Alison is incredibly refreshing.
I can’t stick to a movement either.
I’ve been pretty fucking accommodating to capitalist nonsense in the resistance but I’ve had enough and I’m clearly not the only one. Going along to get along is over.
Since Luddites were mentioned, I’ll remind readers that we self-declared neo-Luddites do a weekly podcast which you can find here.
Spirit of Ned Ludd lives here. Proud of it.
(Side note: I could have a guess at who the retired tech guy prick was. And I’d get it right. DO NOT post your guess in the comments, I’ll delete it.)
